Claudia Coleman has never had many friends because of her shyness, but Monday Charles is the exception. The two are inseparable, and close beyond the standard set by their peers. After a poorly timed photo leaves the friends as the talk of the school, Monday mysteriously disappears. The weirdest part? No one but Claudia seems to care, or even remember who Monday is. Claudia dives into the disappearance of her best friend, determined to find the truth and calm her racing mind.
This was a roller coaster of a book. I loved every second of it, and it really shed light on our society and the unfortunate truth of some missing people. The ending was unexpected, in a good way, but I was definitely left reeling. I would recommend this book to people who enjoyed The Hate U Give, although they are highly different, I feel like they do relate by speaking the unspoken. This book is a four out of five stars for me, as it was a mystery and a thrilling book, but some questions at the end were unanswered. That being said, Monday’s Not Coming gave me a lot to think about, and I highly enjoy being mentally stimulated.
