The story follows two young strangers, Fallon and Ben. Fallon is a girl who is physically and emotionally scarred by a fire, while Ben is an aspiring writer. The two meet on November 9th, a date that is significant to both of them. They agree to meet every year on the same day without any contact in between, which makes the suspension for both of them intense. Over the years they reunite with dramatic change and their relationships grow complex. As secrets from Ben's past come to attention, their relationship is being tested forcing them to both be in uncomfortable situations. This book is about love, healing, and fate.
In my opinion, I didn’t really like this book, just because of all the red flags I was seeing in the beginning. Though the context of this book wasn’t bad as it was filled with romance and love. I felt like the character, Ben, was a red flag. I kind of anticipated what everything was going to happen and the plot where they meet once a year didn’t work in my favor as it isn’t really my thing to not see the person I love. But other than that, the way this book was written was in a very compelling way, I was just eager to know what was going to happen next. If you are interested in books with compelling love, this is the book for you.
