The incredible epic spanning over nine years, with giants and sirens and witches who turn people to pigs. The Odyssey by Homer is a difficult read, but incredibly rewarding. The characters are interesting, and Odysseus and his crew get into countless iconic stories. Reading it will also assist in many other things as many other iconic stories allude to The Odyssey. While there aren’t as many characters in this book as supposed to its prequal, The Odyssey still has countless fascinating minor gods and monsters to learn about. Also, if any character catches your fancy there are countless novels about any of even the minor characters in this book. If the dactylic hexameter scares you, there are countless other versions of The Odyssey in easier format, or graphic novel version, or really anything else you can think of. If you can move past the difficult language, the story makes this book five out of five stars.
