The Official Digital SAT Study Guide is a well-known resource that I’m sure every SAT test-taker knows about. This guide covers all sections of the SAT, providing detailed explanations and practice questions. However, despite its comprehensive nature, it has the same tests as the Bluebook app, which isn't that great.
While this books is an essential tool for students aiming to excel on the SAT, it doesn't offer much beyond what is available in the Bluebook app. The thorough coverage of test sections and strategies for tackling difficult questions are helpful, but the lack of new practice tests is disappointing. Even though the guide emphasizes the importance of practice, the redundancy with the Bluebook app made it less valuable.
The repetitive nature of some sections and the duplication of practice tests with the Bluebook app are drawbacks. However, if you appreciate having a physical guide, this might still be useful. I do prefer other prep books that offer unique practice tests and content. The main thing I like about this book is the detailed explanations and the official nature of the practice questions, which provide a reliable representation of the test. However, the redundancy affects its overall usefulness. I would recommend this to those who prefer a physical study guide, but for fresh practice material, you might need to look elsewhere.
