The slow-burn romance throughout the book was what kept me reading. Poppy and Henry are the main characters and they have been friends since college. The book started off talking about how they hadn't talked in two years, but included well-transitioned flashbacks to when they met. They had taken annual summer trips ever since college and this is how they rekindled their friendship. This book is a well-created friends-to-lovers trope book. I really enjoyed this book because the characters were flawed and real. I ultimately fell in love with the characters and could see this book being produced into a movie. I would recommend this book to those fond of romance novels, with slow-burns, and a friends-to-lovers trope.
