Percy Jackson and the Battle of Labyrinth is a exciting book to read with darker themes and fun
action by Rick Riordan. The fourth book in the series is about Annabeth Chase and her friends
Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson in a quest to find the inventor of the infamous Labyrinth
when they discover its role in a dark plot against the camp by Kronos' Army. The Labyrinth is
sprawling with powerful monsters and is the toughest challenge Percy has to face yet.
In my opinion this book is the best in the series so far because it has the best monster fights,
extremely exciting fighting, and the characters are in the darkest depths of despair literally and
not literally. Percy’s fight with Antaeus is one of my favorite fights in any book as Percy has to
face someone who he can’t just beat with brawn. The characters are more fleshed out then
they’ve ever been and this book has an exhilarating, sorrowful ending like a cherry on top. If I
could I would give this book a six out of five but alas this book is one of my favorites. The Greek
mythology is incorporated beautifully in the story with darker tales of jealousy and greed. This
book is truly for all ages and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
