Summary: Normal 16-year-old Dylan with a vibrant personality and red hair is the
younger sister of Dusty, former Miss Mississippi. It is not easy living up to the perfect
queen bee sister, especially after she got engaged to a Scottish prince. Her life is
overturned within days. She goes from a nice cozy house in Florida to a mansion in
Scotland with butlers at her private service. Here to shoot a documentary on the
process of the royal wedding, she tries to adapt to the social scene. Wanting to be left
alone in her ordinary life, she fathoms Scotland. Even her introduction into the country is
a nightmare when her escort doesn't pick her up. Adjusting to this new lifestyle while
cameras are shoved in her face is a hurdle for Dylan until she meets Jamie. They
become best friends quickly while meeting her hostile future in-laws of her sister and the
drama that brings.
Opinion: I think this book was a cute holiday royal wedding story. It was a relatable
story of having an older sister and always living up to the expectation they set while
everyone is constantly telling the younger one how different they are. The banter
between the sister's old family secrets ties the story together. The added twist of the
producers adding in stories, unwelcoming future mother-in-law, and long-lost relatives
bring more depth to the story.
