Restart is a fiction book written by Gordon Korman. This novel is about
Chase Ambrose, a school bully, who gets a chance to fix his mistakes. His friends
and family have different opinions on how he should live this new life, but he has
plans of his own. He wishes to figure out how to fit in again, and rectify his
mistakes. He tries really hard, but such circumstances in his life seem to push him
back each time. He pushes through and tries hard to find the real him. He tries to
find a simplified, better version of himself. The character’s better self helps him
get out of the messes that are created, as he plans to continue finding himself.
The most compelling aspect of this book is when he tries to find himself,
and tries to become better. I was disappointed when he kept ending up in the
same situation multiple times. I was disappointed since he could not figure out
what he was doing wrong. The book's thoughts and feelings inspired me to
become a better version of myself. I would recommend this book to any person
interested in becoming a better person, and those who learn from other journey’s.
