Gwyneth Shepherd has enough on her plate, what with her ability to talk to ghosts, and the
constant struggle with ugly school uniforms. She definitely could do without unexpected bouts of
time travel. Unfortunately for Gwyneth, her family’s preparations for Gwen’s cousin Charlotte to
inherit a time travel gene were incorrect. Now, Gwyneth must fight to figure out the secrets of
the secret society controlling the time troubles and somehow survive the company of her
deliciously handsome (but also quite bothersome) time travel companion, Gideon. Will Gwen
survive her time traveling escapades with her sanity and heart intact?
I first stumbled upon this book title nearly seven years ago and promptly forgot the title. As I am
writing a review for this book, I remembered the book title. This book (and its subsequent
sequels) is one of my all-time favorite books. I love the mix of the modern teenage experience
and the extravagance of time travel. It also helps that Gwen and Gideon have such a cute (yet
slightly strange) enemies to lovers arc. This book is perfect for anyone looking for a
mellowed-down teen fantasy. Ruby Red has something for everyone to love!
I give this book a rating of five out of five chronographs.
