The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller is a fantasy fiction. Alessia is tired of being overlooked by everyone and has a fool proof plan to get power. She plans to get the attention of the Shadow King, marry him, then kill him and take his kingdom. But she’s not the only one trying to kill him. Alessia must keep him alive long enough to marry him, but as her plan is inaction, her biggest struggle is to not lose her heart in the process. Ultimately, what’s a better match than the Shadow King and a sly, wicked queen. I loved every part of this book. Alessia’s confidence and wits is absolutely amazing. The drama and characters were so entertaining. I loved the plot twists that kept coming up. I still think about this book, it was incredible and a 5/5!
