She’s Gone by David Bell is a young-adult mystery thriller novel about Hunter Gifford who wakes up in the hospital and finds out that he and his girlfriend, Chloe, were in a car accident. He soon finds out that Chloe’s blood was found in his car but she’s nowhere to be found. Hunter can’t remember anything about the crash or what happened that day. Back at school, everyone blames him for Chloe’s disappearance and accuses him of murder. Hunter sets off on finding out what happened that night, but as he learns he and Chloe were seen arguing, he wonders if he was angry enough to kill his own girlfriend, the person he loved.
I thought this book was good. The character’s were very well written and the story definitely kept me on my toes. I couldn’t stop reading until I found out what happened to Chloe. The mystery was really good and I was very shocked to find out the truth about Chloe’s disappearance. I thought it was really sweet how Hunter worked so hard to find out what happened to Chloe. I also thought that the memories Hunter had of Chloe when they were together were so sweet. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more of David Bell’s books. I give this book a 4/5.
