As Clara becomes more invested in the mystery, the secrets revealed are dangerous for her and her fellow colleague, and love interest, Gil. Will Clara crack the case and bring the justice that the victim deserves?
I loved this historical fiction mystery! After reading Ross’ process for her research, it's obvious that this book is rich with history, in a creative way. This was such an informative book that gave a different perspective of how Nazi propaganda was rejected in the US, and especially in the film industry. Ross pulled inspiration from many famous films in the 1940s to write her characters and their personalities. I thought I had the mystery figured out, but there were so many twists I didn’t expect!
