The second series in Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse, Six of Crows is a huge improvement from her

debut works.

Ketterdam, home to many prominent criminal gangs, is the capital of Kerch, and a busy trade

hub. Kaz Brekker, a criminal mastermind, doesn’t hesitate to take advantage of this. When he’s

offered the chance of a lifetime: a heist opportunity, he doesn’t hesitate to take it. With his crew

(Jesper, a sharpshooter; Inej, a spy; Nina, a Grisha Heartrender; Matthias, a convict; and Wylan;

son of the prominent merchant Van Eck), The Dregs attempt to pull off the stunt of a lifetime.

I greatly enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down! One of my favorite things about it was the

worldbuilding, which I felt was well-developed. I also appreciated the balance between humor,

action, and romance. The dynamics between the characters felt realistic, and all the characters

were likeable. This book definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat with a creative plot,

perfect pacing, and great character arcs. Kaz’s and Inej’s backstories were definitely the most

interesting to read. Overall, this book was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend it to

everyone. 5/5.
