Slacker by Gordon Korman follows Cameron Boxer who created a ‘lifestyle’ where all he does is gaming. He avoids homework, doesn’t join any clubs, and no one knows him besides his two best friends (basically, he’s a slacker). Until he starts a positive action club after almost burning down his home. The club wasn’t supposed to be something anyone could join, it was just supposed to be a distraction for his parents so that they would let him keep gaming. Turns out, everyone knows about his club and almost the whole school joined. Now, Cam’s boring life is turning into something not-so-boring. Everyone loves the positive action club, everyone except Cam, the person who started it.
I really liked this book. I thought it was a very humorous book and really enjoyed reading it. There were so many elements that made this book so good. I thought it was very funny and I liked the character development. I highly recommend this book to people. I give it a 5/5.
