“But… where are the children?”
After their mysterious appearance, the men in rat masks answer none of the questions given to them. No one seems to be keen to ask questions when they provide food and shelter though, in a secret city underground. But who can explain the masks everyone wears? Or the disappearance of everyone assigned maintenance duty? OR most importantly where have all the children gone?
My personal favorite in the Snowpiercer series, this book’s cover alone was what got me into the series in the first place. While you must have read the previous book to understand this one, it is well worth it. The mysteries and unease that circles through your stomach while reading this book is unmatched. One way you can immediately tell the difference between this book and the others in the series is that the creators abandoned the blue monochromatic theme, showcasing how this book is a whole new chapter. Highly recommend.
