The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller is a great Romance/tragedy book following Patroclus and Achilles. Patroclus is the exiled son of king Menoitius. Patroclus was exiled because he killed another boy. Patroclus found shelter in Peleus’ court, where he was fostered with Achilles. He soon became Achilles' apprentice while developing a crush for Achilles. Achilles is the son of king Peleus, and his mom is a sea nymph. He was the best fighter of his generation, but he had never been in a fight before. The only person to see him fight before the war was Patroclus.
Personally, I think the book would have been better if I would have read the original version before reading this version. I love how the author portrays the characters and how the character development was put in place and how it flowed with the story line.
