Spectacular is a Fantasy fiction book written by Stephanie Garber. This book follows the story of Donatella Dragna during the Great Holiday. As the day nears, she is still struggling to find a gift to give to the man she loves, Legend. As he becomes more distant, Tella starts her hunt for the perfect gift for Legend. As he leaves to go prepare for the next Caraval, she heads to Garland Street to see what gift options there are. During her time on the street, she comes across a candy vendor and after eating a candy wakes up in the snow after being robbed. She decides to follow some people into a place where there is supposedly an audition for Caraval. Tella has her suspicions, but she goes in any way. Her audition goes well, and she ends up trapped in a room. Now she spends her days trying to get free and get back to Legend.
I thought that this book was such a fun book to end the Caraval series. This book was crafted beautifully and added a good amount of depth to the series and its characters. We got to see more of the characters' personalities than we did in the first three books, and I think that the plot was very well thought out. It was paced perfectly, not too fast or too slow. I think Fantasy lovers who loved the Caraval series would love this book.
