Ben Ripley, a student CIA agent embarks on yet another adventure, this time aboard the world’s largest cruise liner ever built. His task is to track down and sabotage Murray Hill, a notorious criminal with plans to wreak havoc. With a ship full of unsuspecting passengers, Murray has the perfect cover to execute his scheme. Meanwhile, Benjamin’s complicated feelings for Erica Hale resurface, adding another layer of tenseness to the mission. As Ben and his fellow agents uncover new intel, he realizes that each and every passenger aboard the ship might be in grave danger very, very soon…

Spy School at Sea gives us readers a refreshing adventure with the unique setting of a massive cruise ship. I really liked the action sequences as well as the restless situations where Ben has to figure out Murray’s plans before it’s too late. At times, though, the plot felt a little too in-favor of the good guys and the sheer size of the cruise ship (which was thoroughly mentioned) and its possibilities could have been expanded a bit further. It’s a fun overall read and earns a four out of five.
