The Stage Actor’s Handbook covers many things that young actors need to know. It goes
through the etiquette of acting, including how to treat fellow actors, stage managers, and
directors well. It gives examples of poor and good etiquette. It makes sense of many of the
weird traditions that people new to acting don’t understand. I’d recommend The Stage Actor’s
Handbook to anybody interested in live theatre at any level. I love this book and it has made me
a better actor on stage and a better person during rehearsals and off stage. It tells me what to
expect while in a show as well as how to treat those in power during a show. Anybody who
wants to act at any level should read this book.
