Everyone knows who Jack the Ripper is, but nobody ever figured out who he was. Stalking Jack the Ripper is a thrilling tale that answers that very question. It follows Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth who has a knack for the dead. She studies bodies with her uncle who is a doctor. A string of murders starts appearing in England and Audrey has no choice but to try to solve the mystery. With the help of her uncle's seemingly annoying assistant Thomas, they try to solve these murders.
To start off with the truth, this book had every opportunity to win me over yet It didn't. It was kind of hard to get into at first but that was also because I was in a reading slump. The plot was okay and the ending was predictable. That being said I enjoyed the characters in this book. The main protagonist, Audrey, “isn't like the other girls” but instead of being one of those annoying pick-me characters the author made her likable. Also, the history this book has in it is not only accurate but also interesting. As the reader you can tell the author put so much work into this book. In the end, I rated this book three out of five stars, but I truly believe if I read it in the right mood it would have been a higher rating. Read this book if you love mysteries and are interested in history then I would recommend this book!
