Stick Dog Crashes a Party is the 8th book of the Stick Dog book series. The book starts off with the five dogs being hungry (again) and asking Mutt to shake off things from his fur. They find a mysterious packet which explodes, and red gets all over Karen. They find that it is ketchup and decide to search for the pizza place they had visited a couple of years ago. When they arrive, they see Stick Cat in a car, which gets Stripes excited, and hear Goose, Stick Cat's owner, talking about a wedding the next day. They arrive at Picasso Park the next day, but struggle to find a plan to crash the wedding and eat all the buffet food. All the dogs devise crazy plans, such as getting married to each other, to gifting the humans a rocket ship. Will the dogs get their hands on some delicious food (and maybe even some cake), or will they have to try again another day?
I loved this book! In this, the Stick Dog and Stick Cat series converge, where all the characters meet each other, creating a new spin. In addition, as always, the book is really amusing, and I loved reading about all the dogs and cats and their crazy ideas. Tom Watson really creates a unique personality for each character that persists throughout all the series. Because of all this, I give this book a five out of five.
