The Summer of Broken Rules is an amazing novel about Meredith Fox. She and her family travel to their vineyard every year, except for when her sister Claire unexpectedly died and the family took a break from their yearly vacation. But when her aunt Sarah announces that she is going to get married at the vineyard the family comes back for the wedding Meredith develops a crush on one of the groomsmen while playing one of Claire's favorite games, assassin. Will Meredith be able to survive the wedding and not catch feelings for the groomsmen?
I think the book would have been more enjoyable if I could have gotten other people's perspectives on the wedding because in my opinion there is a lot going on during the book with the wedding, the game of assassin and the romance. It might have been more captivating if I could have gotten other people's perspectives. I enjoyed this book because the author did a great job with character development. I think she did a great job with showing Meredith's grief and her growing love for the groomsman. I also liked how the book was formatted. It made it so it was easier to follow what day it was.
