Belly is headed back to the beach house where her mom’s best friend Susannah and
her two boys stay for the summer. When Belly, Steven (Belly’s brother), and Belly’s
mother get to the beach house, Susannah’s two boys Conrad and Jeremiah notice
that Belly isn’t like their little sister anymore. Belly has always loved Conrad, but when
a boy Belly met at a party named Cam asks Belly out, how could she say no? Belly
likes Cam, but how will he compete with her first love, Conrad?
This book was good but not as good as I thought it was going to be. Don’t get me
wrong, I love a good beach romance, however this one felt almost deflated because
there wasn’t any other back plot and the only part of the story was Belly and the
boys. At first while reading this book I was very confused about all of the flashbacks
because I honestly wasn’t prepared for learning about Belly’s past at Cousins Beach.
Even though I didn’t enjoy some aspects of this book, I still read it very, very fast and
liked this book. Overall, I did like this book.
