Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter is a sweet high school rom-com that touches your heart from start to finish. In the book, you follow Liz, a high school senior who has been through more than most of her peers. When she was younger, her mother sadly passed away and left behind Liz and her father. One of the things Liz’s mother instilled in Liz was a love of movies, especially rom-coms. This leads to a bit of an obsession, and her appearing odd to most other students.

Twisted Hate by Ana Huang is the third book in the popular Twisted Series. This novel follows Jules Ambrose, one of the four friends, and also a law student at Thayer Law.  She has a shadowed past, including an abusive ex-boyfriend named Max. Josh Chen is Ava’s (from the first book, Twisted Love) older brother. Josh and Jules have not been friendly ever since college, when Jules got Ava into a few scrapes.

Love Redesigned is an enemies to lovers romance book by Lauren Asher. It follows the story of Dahlia and Julian, two family friends who turned into childhood rivals. After years of no contact, they run into each other after Dahlia comes back to their old town. This sparks their relationship when Julian asks Dahlia to work on a project with him. Throughout the book, their past is revealed and why they stopped talking to each other all those years ago.

Alosa’s plan to get the map is to hand herself over to the enemies as the perfect opportunity to search their ship. The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller is a fantasy fiction. Alessia is tired of being overlooked by everyone and has a fool proof plan to get power. She plans to get the attention of the Shadow King, marry him, then kill him and take his kingdom. But she’s not the only one trying to kill him. Alessia must keep him alive long enough to marry him, but as her plan is inaction, her biggest struggle is to not lose her heart in the process.
