Lucy Albright is very nervous to see her ex-boyfriend, Stephen, at her friend’s wedding. They have a very intense and complex past. In 2010, they got together after seeing each other at a party. While Lucy gets very attached to Stephen, he doesn’t reciprocate the feelings. As their relationship gets more complicated, feelings are hurt, secrets are spilled and people are torn apart.
I did not like this book. I had to skim the last part, and I didn’t even bother reading the epilogue. I thought the writing was too descriptive, which made the book lack real emotion. I personally want action, I want dialogue, and this book did not give that. The male lead was insufferable. I also thought this book got so repetitive. After all they have gone through, I don’t even think the characters deserve to be together.
