They Both Die at the End, written by Adam Silvera, is a novel about Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio. These two teenagers received a call from Death-Cast, an organization that gives you 24 hours to live until you die. The boys are shocked at the news and try to do as much as they can before it’s too late. They cross paths during the night to accomplish some of their goals together. Will they get everything done in time?
I rate this book a 5 out of 5 because of the plot twist at the end of the novel. The novel is moderately paced as the book has about 400 pages, but each page gets more and more interesting with each turn. The ending of the book is what hurt me the most, because I wanted more answers. The title does seem predictable but it’s not. It’s so much more than what the title presumes. I recommend this to people who love a good plot twist.
