I loved this book. Sarah J. Maas does a great job of writing Celaena as an interesting character who intrigued me from the beginning. I liked how the book was quite fast paced and had twists throughout. I loved reading about Nehemia and Celaena’s friendship, as well as Chaol. I thought that Cain being the killer was slightly predictable, but I think the author does a nice job of adding other developments throughout the book. I am excited to read the other books in the series. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading fast paced, fantasy novels and give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
