In Tintin in Tibet, Tintin’s mission is clear: find his beloved friend Chang who was aboard a plane that crashed in the Himalayan mountains, which was believed to have no survivors. The journey is full of challenges, rough terrain, frigid temperature and even mystical creatures. Even his professional guides waver in their confidence, but Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy remain determined to navigate any obstacle that comes their way, until they stumble upon a discovery that leaves them questioning if Chang is still alive or if they’re too late.

Tintin in Tibet is one of those books where you get the perfect mix of Tintin’s usual, action-packed adventure and a bit more emotion. You get the humor - with Captain Haddock being his usual, hilarious self, which never fails to make me laugh. But what makes this book different is the increased sense of urgency, as Tintin’s unwavering loyalty to Chang pushes him and Captain Haddock through tough challenges. This book is a short and sweet read but still excellent despite its age, and I give it a five out of five.
