In this book, Percy Jackson once again must save one of his friends—Annabeth, while trying to hunt down the mysterious general who kidnapped Artemins and is plotting with Luke the destruction of Olympus.
The book is an improvement in writing for Riordan, including featuring more comprehensive character arcs and interesting relations between each character. There are also several character moments and loses that hurt and introduce a more serious tone to the series. The book is longer, also giving more growth to explore the world. Fans can also expect several strange and ferocious monsters and misadventures, a formula that Riordan has begun to perfect. Overall, this is a very solid pick for Percy Jackson fans wanting to continue the series and is a heart-breaking and exciting adventure.
