The god Apollo is cast down from Olympus as a regular teenage boy after angering Zeus. Now the god has lost all his powers and must survive the modern world and somehow find a way to regain his godly form. Apollo needs help and the only place he can think of is camp half blood.
The Hidden Oracle is an interesting book. I was a little bit disappointed as the story was a bit generic and nothing much happened right until the end but it managed to keep me reading. Reading from Apollo’s point of view and his narration was the fun part for me. Seeing old characters from the world of Percy Jackson return was another highlight of this book. The new characters introduced are also very interesting and make it more unique from Riordan’s other books. As the story goes on we see growth of the characters and the plot for the whole series being set up. This book is definitely worth reading if you loved the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series. I give it a 4.2 out of 5.
