Twisted Games is in my opinion, the best out of the four novels that make up Ana Huang’s Twisted Series. This particular book follows Princess Bridget. Yes, Princess. Bridget is royalty from a fictional country called Eldorra and so has a security detail that comes with the title. When Bridget’s personal bodyguard, Booth, is stepping down to have a family, Rhys Larsen comes into the picture. Rhys is everything Bridget finds attractive in a man, which proves to be a problem because their relationship is supposed to stay strictly professional. However, when Bridget receives shocking news (also revealed at the end of Twisted Love, the first book in the series), things change for her. Her dynamics with Rhys also change, and they find it harder and harder to deny the growing attraction between them. In the end, Bridget will have to make one of the toughest decisions in royal history: Her country, or her soulmate? I give this book five stars. I think Bridget is an exceptionally written character with lots of development and also very real human emotions. Rhys is also enjoyable to get to know as he has a lot of layers that he slowly reveals to Bridget. This book is like a fairytale for those who are looking for a bit more mature of a classic princess story.
