One tragic night, Lizzie Futon’s car gets into a terrible crash. With her two daughters sitting in the back, she must make a heart-wrenching choice when getting out of the dreadful situation. This choice haunts Lizzie and doesn’t let her live her life peacefully because all she can do is think about it while it keeps weighing down on her. Her mental state and the subdued atmosphere of her home start distancing her and her family members. At a similar time, she gets news that someone purposefully wanted to see her downfall. This releases a fire within Lizzie, and now she’s determined to find and punish whoever put her in that horrific circumstance.

This is one of the best novels I have ever read. From the beginning to the end, I was hooked and wanted to see what would happen next. Many events in this book were shocking for me, but they were one of the driving forces that allowed me to keep reading with a desire to know what would happen next. There was a significant part in this book where I was unsure if the choice being made was right or not, but after seeing the thought process and feelings behind it, it made sense. The plot and messages throughout this book were remarkable. I would recommend this book to any thriller lovers who love drama and complexities among people.
