Roz is a robot who finds herself stranded on an island, with no memory of how she got there and no idea how to survive. She takes to observing the wildlife around her, camouflaging herself in order to learn from the locals. Over time, she is able to understand the creatures, and begins to acclimate them to her robotic form. When it becomes clear that her makers are looking for her, and not kindly, Roz must convince the animals to help her evade the newer robots. With the assistance of the island and her adopted goose son, Roz continues to evolve and shock the people who created her.

This was a gorgeous book. I loved the story, the characters and the writing, making this an easy 5/5 stars. It was a decently easy read, less than two hours to complete, but it didn’t feel very short. I was immersed in the story, and forgot I was even reading, which means it was absolutely stellar. This is a book for all ages, and I think everyone should read it. Overall, this was written beautifully and the plot was fantastic.
