Aurora Roberts and Russ Callaghan are students at Maple Hills, who only just met at a party that ended in a one-night stand. Soon after, Aurora leaves Russ before the awkwardness can set in. Besides, she has to pack for summer camp. Aurora just wants to find herself, re-center her values at the camp she’s always called home. When Russ unexpectedly shows up as her co-counselor, she has to reevaluate her plans for the summer. The two have to navigate both their own reasons for escaping reality and the growing feelings between them.

I thought this was a cute book, as well as a pretty easy read. It was kind of predictable at some points, but not to the point where I was annoyed. I enjoyed the way the author portrayed each character’s struggles, both internally and externally, and the dual perspective was written pretty well. I would recommend this book to people who enjoyed Icebreaker. It is set in the same world and we do get to see those characters in this book, but it was similar in other aspects too. I would rate this book a four, as I enjoyed it but it wasn’t as mentally stimulating of a book that I would give five stars to. Overall, I was satisfied with this book, and I thought it was a decent read
