Wonder by R.J. Palacio follows August Pullman with facial differences. The story is mostly told in Auggie’s perspective about how he wants to be treated like an ordinary kid, but some are told in other people’s perspectives. The book is about the day-to-day challenges he faces.
I thought this book was really good. I like how the whole book isn’t Auggie’s perspective but also people who usually see him. The book shows how society is these days and that it’s important to be kind to everyone. The book is very emotional and heart touching. I would highly recommend this to fifth graders and middle schoolers. I give this book a 5/5.
