A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle is a beloved classic of children's literature that blends science fiction, fantasy, and coming-of-age themes. The story follows Meg Murry, her brother Charles Wallace, and her friend Calvin O'Keefe as they start an interdimensional journey to rescue Meg's father. Meg Murry is a 13-year-old girl struggling with self-esteem issues and missing her father, a scientist who disappeared while working on a secret government project. One stormy night, Meg, Charles, and Calvin meet Mrs. Whatsit, a strange neighbor who turns out to be a celestial being. Along with her companions Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit reveals that Mr. Murry is trapped on a distant planet called Camazotz, so the kids start looking for him.

I really enjoyed this book because it introduces readers to complex scientific concepts while exploring timeless themes of love, self-acceptance, and the battle between good and evil. The diverse cast of characters, including the abnormal Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, adds charm and depth to the story, which I really loved. However, I found the pacing to be a bit uneven and certain plot elements were dated. Although, I love how the book's lasting appeal lies in its thought-provoking ideas and empowering message for readers. This novel is a captivating read that encourages curiosity, bravery and the power of individuality. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves science fiction.
