Your Brightest Life is an uplifting, positive and overall just an amazing self-help type of book. The author of this book has laid out all the questions, insecurities, anxieties and thoughts every young woman has had running through her head since she left the princess dresses and animal crackers behind. I especially appreciate the tie-in of religion and how it has helped her navigate her very, very exciting and adventurous life. I also love how Jessie Minassian didn’t leave out the dark and ugly parts of life either. She makes feeling sad, unmotivated and confused a vital part of aging, whether it's from a teenager to an adult, a mother to a grandmother, or just how women view getting old in the first place. My favorite part of the book is Jessie mentioning that the most beautiful person she knows doesn’t think of herself as beautiful. It shows that under the surface, we are all having similar struggles and we should have more books like this, talking about them and how we persevere! I would recommend this book to highschoolers, or anyone who wants to read it, just be cognizant of Christian beliefs that are weaved through this book in the most beautiful way!
