Twelve-year-old Sophie Foster lives in the normal human city of

San Francisco, but she is anything except normal. After she hit

her head at age five, she gained telepathic abilities, which

means she hears the thoughts of others. She became known as

a child prodigy, because she also gained a photographic

memory. But one day, a boy shows up, and takes her to a new

world, where she finds out that all the things humans thought

were fables and myths, are actually true. She discovers that she

The Land Of Stories: A Grimm Warning

This is the 3rd book in the series “Land of

Stories”. This book is one of my favorite

books in the series since this is when

things start to drastically change for the

main characters in the book. The first two

books' main purposes are to set the scene

and enable the reader to emerge into the

world of the stories. This book is what

starts to set the theme for how the rest of

The Land of Stories: Wishing Spell is a book about

two twin siblings who get stuck in the book of

fairytales provided by their grandmother. The

book takes us through their journey as they

explore the new world and face completely unknown

dangers of the book. I highly recommend this book

for young kids, especially those in middle school

since that is the age of the characters in the

book. Personally, this is one of my favorite

A beautiful story, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab takes you away to a new

world--one where a girl named Addie makes a deal with the “devil”. The book takes you on an

adventure as Addie tells her story of how she lives to hundreds of years old, experiencing wars,

corruption, and success--and finds love within it. Schwab’s writing style of building off of mainly

flashbacks draws readers tightly into the story, with its ups and downs and chapters full of

Vengeful by V.E. Schwab is one of the only sequels that I thoroughly enjoyed and am content

with the ending. Just like its prequel, Vicious

and turns that you would never expect. Throughout the story, Victor is on a mission to treat his

pain and illness, which limits his powers and increasingly weakens him each day. Mitch and

she wants to make it in this world of magic and war - which means gaining protection from the

Set in a dystopian Chicago, a society separates itself into five factions: Candor, Abnegation,

Amity, Erudite, and Dauntless. Beatrice Prior thought she always knew who she was. However

when she is faced with the choice, she changes her fate. Action packed and filled with passion,

Divergent is the perfect first novel for this series.
