about a girl named Ally with dyslexia who struggles in school. Her friends, Albert

and Kiesha help her in this situation and succeed with her. Even though her

teachers and others try to help, her mind is different, so her friends help her. She

wished she could be normal and can read like others, and wished she wouldn't

boy named August Pullman (Auggie) who has a craniofacial difference. He has to

go through many difficult situations due to this condition. Charlotte Cody, Julien,

Christopher, Reid, Summer, and Ximena Chin all play important roles throughout

some situations. He wishes to be treated like a normal person, and not get

Wonder is a fictional novel written by R.J. Palacio. This book is about August

Pullman, also known as Auggie who has a facial anomaly. He wishes to be treated

as a normal kid, at his new school. He also hopes he could stop being bullied, and

people would accept him. His sister, his friends, his teacher, and parents try to

help him out of this troublesome situation, while he is getting bullied by Julien

When 16 year old Starr Carters’s friend Kahlil is shot by a police officer everything changes in

her life. Starr struggles as police and other members of her town, Garden Heights, try to get her

to tell the story of what really happened that night. When half the town justifies why Kahlil got

shot and the other half is scared and Starr is under a lot of pressure. I thought this was a

wonderful book that is a must read for everyone. This book has a wonderful message for

everybody. One hundred percent recommend this book.

The House on Mango Street is a fiction novel written by Sandra Cisneros.

This novel is about Esperanza Cordero, who shares her feelings and life with the

readers through vignettes. She talks about her struggles due to the

neighborhood she is from, and the lives of people in that time, and that status.

The neighborhood she lives in is disliked by her and many others, causing her to

feel ashamed of her life. She shares her life with her parents, siblings, and friends

about Eleanor Douglas and Park Sheridan, who depend on each other, as the

story progresses. Both of them have very different family environments. They meet

at school, and have complicated issues based on love at first sight. Eleanor lives
