Rating: 4 My rating for this book is a 4 because the book is great, and I love all of Gordan Korman's writing. Most of his writing consists of some sort of transitions throughout the book whether it be perspectives or time period. The only reason I am giving this a 4 is because of the changes in time during the book. Some readers might have difficulty grasping those changes.
Summary: War Stories is a book about Trevor and his great-grandfather. During WWII his grandfather enlisted in the army and liberated a village. The story then transitions to the present when they are going to accept a medal of honor for his bravery. He then finds out that history was altered and he tries to figure out what was altered, and why.
Recommendation: My recommendation for this book is anyone who wants to read books about fantasy. I would recommend the interest level of this book to about 8-14 year olds. I would recommend the reading level of this book to about 8-12 year olds. Overall, I would only recommend this book many people who can understand the difference between the time changes. This would also be a book great for a teaching example as it shows us that writing can take many different forms.
