help him out of this troublesome situation, while he is getting bullied by Julien

Dune is a story that takes place thousands of years in the future on a planet that is

essentially a massive desert wasteland. This planet, called Arrakis, is home to a very valuable

spice that can extend people’s lives, give them psychic powers, or grant an advanced control

over the cosmos. Thus, control over this planet is a top priority for many, so the story follows

Paul Atriedes as he is destined to protect it, himself, and his family from the opposing noble

When 16 year old Starr Carters’s friend Kahlil is shot by a police officer everything changes in

her life. Starr struggles as police and other members of her town, Garden Heights, try to get her

to tell the story of what really happened that night. When half the town justifies why Kahlil got

shot and the other half is scared and Starr is under a lot of pressure. I thought this was a

wonderful book that is a must read for everyone. This book has a wonderful message for

everybody. One hundred percent recommend this book.
