My rating for this book is a 3 because the book felt not put together and just not right. The genre seems a bit off and mixes horror and fantasy. In my opinion, this is not a very good combination.

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller is a fantasy fiction. Sixteen year old captain Alosa, is set on a journey by her father to retrieve an ancient and very hidden map. Alosa’s plan to get the map is to hand herself over to the enemies as the perfect opportunity to search their ship. Alosa has one thing standing in her way, not the ship full of crewmates, but the first man Riden. One thing she didn’t expect on this journey was a clever and appealing captor who she has complicated chemistry with.
The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller is a fantasy fiction. Alessia is tired of being overlooked by everyone and has a fool proof plan to get power. For this reason, she has bound Cardan to herself and made herself the power behind the throne. Jude wants to control the constant changing political alliances but Cardan does everything in his power to humiliate and distract her. Jude soon learns that someone close will betray her and endanger her loved ones.
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black is fantasy fiction. Jude Duarte was seven when she watched her parents get murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away from their homes by the same man who killed her parents to live in High Court of Faerie. Imagine Me by Tahereh Mafi is dystopian fiction and the last book in the series. Ella Sommers and Juliette Ferras, who will she decide to be? This book was a great way to finish the series. It was so satisfying. I loved the bond between the characters after everything they have been through.
