Anne’s House of Dreams, the fifth book in the Anne series, packs quite a punch. My favorite novel of the series, Anne’s House of Dreams begins with Anne’s lovely wedding to Gilbert in the orchard of Green Gables. The story continues as they move to their first home on the other side of Prince Edward Island, as Gilbert begins his medical practice, and as Gilbert and Anne start their family and their married life together.

Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter is a sweet high school rom-com that touches your heart from start to finish. In the book, you follow Liz, a high school senior who has been through more than most of her peers. When she was younger, her mother sadly passed away and left behind Liz and her father. One of the things Liz’s mother instilled in Liz was a love of movies, especially rom-coms. This leads to a bit of an obsession, and her appearing odd to most other students.

Paedyn Gray is Ordinary. Normally, this isn’t a problem for the thieving eighteen-year-old, as she’s able to slip under the radar of the Elites. Luckily so, as being an Ordinary among the Elites is punishable by death. But her encounter with a mysterious stranger is anything but normal. Sticking her neck out for someone isn’t usually her style, but Pae decides to save the poor man she had recently robbed in an alley fight, one that escalated quickly after the stranger was recognized.

Twisted Games is in my opinion, the best out of the four novels that make up Ana Huang’s Twisted Series. This particular book follows Princess Bridget. Yes, Princess. Bridget is royalty from a fictional country called Eldorra and so has a security detail that comes with the title. When Bridget’s personal bodyguard, Booth, is stepping down to have a family, Rhys Larsen comes into the picture.
