Dune Messiah is the second book in the Dune series written by Frank Herbert. I am a
big fan of the first Dune because of its huge sci-fi scope mixed in with politics and religion that
can be seen in the world today as well. The dialogue was amazing too, and it felt like everything
that the characters said could be interpreted in a deeper level. I love that book and I don’t think

Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey is a thrilling and thought-provoking science fiction novel that takes place in a future where humanity has colonized much of the Solar System. The novel follows two main characters: Jim Holden, a former naval officer, and Miller, a detective on the asteroid belt. The novel revolves around a mysterious substance that could change the balance of power in the Solar System, the Protomolecle.

Summary:

Paul Atredies, born into a futuristic dystopian society as royalty, must unpack his true destiny

when he travels to the desert planet of Arrakis, a rugged, worn-torn planet, containing the most

valuable resource in the universe, spice. For nearly 80 years prior, the royal house of Harkoneen

Artemis is a sci-fi novel by Andy Weir about a futuristic moon settlement of the same name. The reader follows Jasmine (jazz), a smuggler who’s lived in the city since she was six as she gets way in over her head in a complicated power struggle. On the moon, aluminum manufacturing is pretty important, as it provides the oxygen for the bubbles everyone lives in.

The Alloy of Law by acclaimed fantasy author Brandon Sanderson is the first book in a trilogy known as the second era of Mistborn. Mistborn was a trilogy of books written by Brandon Sanderson, and The Alloy of Law is set in that same world, only three hundred years into the future.

The Giver, by Louis Lowry, is a Science Fiction book. Jonas, who lives in a futuristic society, is selected to be the new receiver of memory. In his community, there are strict rules. For example, one being the precision of language. Therefore, the people in the community do not know colors, feelings, and holidays. Jonas, when selected to be the new receiver of memory, has to hold the painful experiences that occurred in their past. Will Jonas be able to handle the pain and continue living in his community?

The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout is a fast-paced sci-fi novel with a lot of mystery. One night, Evie Dasher is trapped at a Luxen club during a government raid. There, she meets Luc, the arrogant teenage club owner. As Evie gets caught up in Luc’s world, her whole world turns upside down. This book was fantastic! I really liked Evie as a character; she felt relatable. The mystery of Evie’s past and its relation to the present was the best part of the story, but the tension between Luc and Evie was very entertaining.
