Captain Underpants: The Adventures of Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey is a hilarious and action-packed book that introduces readers to the dynamic duo of George and Harold, two mischievous fourth graders, and their accidentally created superhero, Captain Underpants. The story revolves around the boys’ prank-filled lives, their conflicts with their grumpy principal Mr. Krupp, and the wild adventure that ensues when they hypnotize him into becoming the fearless but clueless Captain Underpants.

Big Nate: Aloha! takes Nate Wright on a hilarious new adventure as he heads to Hawaii for what he hopes will be the perfect vacation. True to form, Nate’s trip is anything but smooth sailing, and the usual chaos, mishaps, and Nate-style disasters follow him, even in paradise. This tropical twist brings fresh scenarios for Nate’s comedic personality to shine. I’d give this book a 5 out of 5 because it keeps the humor alive while adding a fun, new setting to the series.

Captain Underpants and the Big, Bad Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy, Part 2: The Revenge of the Ridiculous Robo-Boogers continues the wild and wacky adventure from the previous book. In this seventh installment, George and Harold must deal with the aftermath of Melvin’s transformation into the Bionic Booger Boy, which has only gotten worse. Now, with Robo-Boogers on the loose, it’s up to Captain Underpants to save the day once again. But with such a ridiculous and slimy enemy, it’s no easy task!

This time, George and Harold face off against a brilliant but disgruntled scientist, Professor Poopypants, who is tired of being laughed at because of his silly name. Determined to take revenge on anyone who mocks him, Professor Poopypants devises a plot to shrink the world and make everyone pay for their laughter.

Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space is the third laugh-filled adventure in Dav Pilkey’s popular series. This time, George and Harold’s pranks take a sci-fi turn when they accidentally summon three extraterrestrial cafeteria workers who are bent on taking over the world. Once again, it’s up to Captain Underpants to save the day, facing off against alien invaders in his usual goofy and heroic fashion. 

Big Nate in Your Face! continues the humorous journey of Nate Wright as he takes on the challenges of middle school, friendship, and his eternal quest for popularity. This book is packed with Nate’s usual antics, but also dives deeper into his relationships with his friends and family, showcasing the ups and downs of middle school life in a way that’s both relatable and entertaining. I’d give this book a five out of five because it captures the essence of growing up with Nate’s signature humor and heart.

Big Nate Blasts Off is another delightful addition to the Big Nate series, filled with humor, relatable moments, and Nate’s unforgettable antics. In this book, Nate Wright faces new challenges as he deals with school bullies, friends, and his never-ending quest to be the center of attention. With a hilarious storyline centered on Nate's dreams of achieving greatness, the book keeps readers hooked from beginning to end.

Big Nate in the Zone by Lincoln Peirce is the sixth book in the Big Nate series, and it takes Nate’s misadventures to a new level. This time, Nate feels like he’s stuck in a rut with a string of bad luck, and things aren’t going his way at school, with friends or in life in general.
