Lore Olympus is a slightly modernized version of the Hades and Persephone myth. Hades, King of the Underworld and Lord of the Dead, is currently in a relationship with Minthe, the river nymph. Persephone has just moved from the mortal realm and is living with Artemis in Olympus for her scholarship with The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood. They meet at the 1500th pantheon at Zeus’s palace and Hades eventually had to bring her home to the Underworld after Eros and Aphrodite trick her.

The back of Helen of Troy with a short sword hanging off of her belt

Nobody's Princess is a great historical fiction story about Helen of Troy. It does not support history but tells a mythological fiction story about her based on what we know. This was such a great girls disguised as boys themed book. I am looking forward to reading the sequel about our main woman of steel Helen. It is a very good book but it drops off at the end so you need the sequel about Helen's adventures in the Mediterranean Region.

The Tower of Nero is the fifth and final book in the Trials of Apollo and is written by Rick Riordan. In this final chapter of the Trials of Apollo series, he tries to finish of his quest to restore the power of the prophecy, take down the trio of evil Roman emperors, and become a god once again. This has been what he’s been trying to accomplish this entire series, and now, he is within striking distance of going back to Mount Olympus.

The Tyrant’s Tomb is the fourth book in the Trials of Apollo series and is written by Rick Riordan. In this book, Apollo travels to Camp Jupiter to continue his mission to stop the three emperors and learn to be a hero. I say that he has to learn to be a hero because this book challenges Apollo the most. In the previous books, Apollo has been tested before, but it’s this book where he finally realizes the corruption and ignorance of the gods, and it’s also the book where Rick Riordan depicts heroism the best.

The Burning Maze is the third book in the Trials of Apollo series and is written by Rick Riordan. In this book, Apollo must continue his quest to free five oracles from a trio of evil Roman Emperors who’ve created a group called Triumvirate Holdings in order to become a god once again. The first two books in this series, while solid and good, haven’t been that great.
