This book is amazing. It is a fast-paced and easy read for anyone above the age of 8. As someone who loves Harry Potter, Percy Jackson is another series to love. I would rate this book 4 stars for its excitement, comedy, and thrill!

Defy the Night is a very intriguing novel that is about a world that is grappling with a very deadly disease. This book follows the story of Tessa, a brave girl who is trying to help her townspeople. During this journey, Tessa must steal from the crown to get the disease cure and while doing this she discovers many secrets about the crown that completely change her view of the world that she is living in. I loved this story because the plot keeps you on your toes the entire time.

Whether it is everyone changing to look like Harry or using the sword of Gryffindor this book is filled with events that are fun exciting and sometimes scary! This book is a really awesome book. I love how it is filled with the perfect amount of fun and adventure. This whole book was a page-turner and I couldn’t stop reading it.
