In an unfortunate incident with a bow and arrow, Feyre finds herself in the deadly land of the Fae, where as a human she is subject to the magic of the powerful creatures that live there. She ends up in the Spring Court, with the mysterious Lord Tamlin as her captor.
Evangeline Fox is in love. She’s never known love before, but she can tell this is the real thing. Unfortunately, her lover is betrothed to her stepsister. Evangeline knows that he would rather run away with her, as he insists what they have is true love. In order to save their relationship, Evangeline makes a risky deal with the Prince of Hearts, Jacks, which leaves her stuck as a statue for weeks. When she finally rejoins society, she learns that her lover has left her. Heartbroken, she meets with Jacks to accuse him of ruining her chance at a life with love.
Fourth Wing is a high fantasy novel that follows a cadet named Violet Sorrengail as she braves Basgiath War College, where the only goal is to bond with a dragon or die trying. As the daughter of a commanding general, she has an immediate target on her back. Throughout the book, we see Violet try to make her way through this college, forging friendships and navigating enemies.

Exile from ShadowClan by Dan Jolly is a graphic novel extra of the Warriors series. This book explores what was happening in ShadowClan near the beginning of the first series. Following Firestar from when he was still an apprentice to when he became a young warrior. This book is from Nightpelt’s (Brokenstar’s previous mentor) perspective. Nightpelt has always had a bad cough, which caused him to eventually retire to the elders' den since he couldn’t hunt or fight.
Mare is a seventeen year old Red with a spark. Uncommon for the low-level Reds who live to serve their higher Silver blooded counterparts, ones gifted with supernatural powers. When Mare discovers the supposed impossible existence of her own power, she must lay low in order to keep her life. The Lamplighter by Crystal J. Bell is a fiction fantasy book and is a very good read. The main character Temperance takes on the job of a lamplighter, lighting the way in the fog, after her father dies to honor his memory. She financially supports her sisters and mother and takes on the burden of work herself. As she works as a lamplighter, mysterious things start to happen when the fog rolls in. She gets suspicious of her dad's warning to stay away from a certain person.
The Once and Future King by T.H. White is a modern retelling of the legend of King Arthur, presented in four parts. It begins with The Sword in the Stone, where young Arthur, known as Wart, is tutored by the wizard Merlyn and eventually pulls the sword from the stone to become king.
