A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Mass is an adventure-filled fantasy romance book that picks up almost right after A Court Of Thorns and Roses left off. As Freye is dealing with the horrors of what she went through under the mountain, she must learn how to be who she has transformed into. A powerful immortal being with a mortal heart, in a world she knows very little about. As a greater evil looms, she navigates the politics and passion of her world.
Summary: Eragon by Christopher Paolini is a fantasy novel that follows the journey of a farm boy named Eragon who discovers a mysterious dragon egg in the Spine, a range of untamed mountains. When the dragon hatches, Eragon realizes he is now the last of the Dragon Riders, an ancient order thought to be extinct. As he raises the dragon, whom he names Saphira, Eragon becomes embroiled in a dangerous conflict against the tyrannical ruler, King Galbatorix.
Hellboy, the Complete Short Stories. Volume 2 is an anthology of various comics released in between the main series and usually takes place prior to the first volume. Now, this collection isn’t quite as strong as the first, but it’s still a solid read. The story featuring Baba Yaga is pretty solid, especially because of the consequences it has on the main series. You don’t necessarily have to have read the first volume, or even any other Hellboy story, but it is recommended.
Dark Heir is the second book in the series. Go read Dark Rise!! (I promise, it is so good). There’ll be spoilers for it in this review. Oh, my goodness Pacat, these books are criminal! (In the sense that they’re criminally good, keep working on the third book please.) In this sequel, C.S.
In my opinion, A Winter’s Promise is absolutely perfect. It follows Ophelia, a quiet girl with the ability to travel, at will, through mirrors and read an object’s history just by touching it. Ophelia lives quietly as the curator of a museum on an Ark, a fragmented piece of land, floating above the abyss. When Ophelia, against her will, is forced to marry a man from a distant and dangerous Ark, she must uproot her entire life and leave behind everything she has ever known.
Rick Riordan’s The Lightning Thief is an entertaining story that makes Greek mythology feel modern and fun. The story follows Percy Jackson, who finds out that his father is a Greek god. Percy then must face a challenging quest alongside Athena’s daughter, Annabeth and Percy’s protector satyr, Grover.
The Last Olympian is the final book in Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. The story follows Percy Jackson as he faces the ultimate showdown with the Titan lord Kronos, who is leading an assault on Mount Olympus. Percy, along with his demigod friends and allies, engages in a fierce battle to defend the gods, and prevent the destruction of Olympus. As the conflict unfolds, Percy discovers the significance of his destiny and the power of friendship.
Kingdom Keepers IV: Power Play by Ridley Pearson, is a fiction book in the fantasy genre in the series Kingdom Keepers. The book is about Finn Whiteman and his friends facing the Disney villains who are trying to take over the Disney parks. They have to go through many challenges, puzzles, and riddles to get to their main goal of defeating the Disney villains for this book.
After all the chaos of last summer, Percy finally gets a chance to be a normal middle school kid--at least, he can pretend he does. Along the way, Percy also discovers that one of normal human friends isn’t as normal as he may seem. Suddenly, while playing dodgeball, monsters appear and threaten Percy’s life. Thalia’s tree, the one that holds the spirit of Zeus’ daughter, is ill.
