This book was recommended to me by a close friend and I’m glad that I read it. It was not the kind of

mystery novel I was expecting but I still ended up enjoying it. You meet Kya, who is known as the “marsh

girl” in this story, because she lives alone in the marsh. In the book, it switches between time periods in

different chapters as it alternates from the present, where a murder case was being investigated, to the

past, where you can see Kya’s childhood and history. Each chapter slowly unravels different parts of the

Avery Kylie Grambs has only months left in the Hawthorne house until she becomes a

billionaire. It is close to her 18th birthday and she still has puzzles to solve that Tobias

Hawthorne left her when he passed. Each day Avery and the Hawthorne grandsons

are finding more and more clues to discover the truth. Avery and Jameson

Hawthorne are also becoming much more than friends. Everything is going fine until

Eve, Toby Hawthorne’s daughter, shows up. Is she here to help or sabotage?

decipher the clues about her growing connection to the Hawthorne family.

Verity, by Colleen Hoover, is a suspenseful romance novel and a stand-alone book.

she wants is to have a good normal life with a normal job and good pay. But when she inherits a

billion dollar inheritance from philanthropist Tobias Hawthorne who has died recently, her whole

life turns around. More people start targeting her death, her love life suddenly goes up, and

people she didn’t even know start admiring her. Avery believes there’s a reason for her

Mystery, romance, suspense. This book was definitely worth the hype. With beautiful

scenery descriptions and trying to understand the effects of abandonment, the reader will be

asking questions until the very last page.

It Ends With Us is probably the most recommended book of the past few years - from its

romance to powerful message, no one can put it down. The novel starts on a high rooftop in

Boston with heightened emotions all around. After refusing to speak at her abusive father’s

funeral, a sad but conflicted Lily meets Ryle - an upset neurosurgeon - high above the Boston

skyline. Both deep in their feelings and without care for what the other thought of them, they

This book was a piece of heart and something I would see my soul to read again. It was so beautiful and heart shattering at the same time as Evelyn experiences love, cheat, betrayal, glamor, power, fame, money, and heartbreak all at the same time. Evelyn’s story discusses her rise in Hollywood along with the challenges, media, the public eye, sexualization, and more. She demonstrates what it was like being  a powerful woman in a demanding and toxic environment at an early time. She has 7 marriages, in which she discusses each love or reason.
